Good ATO for the evo 13.5?

I Have a fluval 13.5 and I chose the Neptune apex ATK. The float valve will not fit but 2 eyes are pretty decent backup. I programmed it to error if the pmup stays on for more than 12 Sec (effectively a second backup to the high eye). The holder that comes with it is too big to fit but a small piece of egg crate with some magnets works very nice to hold my 2 eyes and the ato outlet hose in the chamber pretty reliably. Here’s a pic (I also have the ground plug on the same eggcrate but it has nothing to do with the atk.)

I haven't gotten around to writing a review for my ATOs yet but I recommend, the Smart Aqua Micro.

I had a hard time deciding based on reviews since many have pros and cons, and reviews cn be conflicting. So I installed different ATOs on each of my tanks...

Out of the ones I have installed so far: Smart ATO (standard), Smart ATO Micro, Hydrofill TI w/ matching pump, an Ultimate Reef float switch...etc. The Smart ATO Micro is my favorite.

Easy to install, small, and works seamlessly. Check out my DIY thread on a cheap ATO reservoir you can pick up from Target.

That being said, I have the Hydrofill installed in my Fluval 13.5. Reason for this is that I needed to have the reservoir somewhat far away from the tank so decided to use the Hydrofill airlift pump to make this work.

I made my own. I even made a project box that connected all my sensors with LED’s to indicate what’s going on

Blue means system has power
Green comes on when my pump starts
Red will come on when the emergency float switch gets activated ( too much water and will **** off the pump ) red light will stay on to let me know what happened
Orange light tells me low on water in the bucket. Will keep the pump from starting in order to protect the pump

I used a full 12vdc system including pump so I don’t have to worry about using a relay or stray voltage

I like your DIY version, how much did it cost in total?

I believe I paid 30-35 bucks total.

Led lights , project box , sheet of acrylic , 12vdc pump, float switches.

I love that the one that you made has the lights and has the saftey to turn off if it puts in too much water. You wouldn't happen to have an online tutorial on how to do it anywhere would you? I'm interested in giving it a shot for my EVO 13.5 Awesome work, I wish I was as handy to come up with it myself.

I uses the xp auto aqua duetto. It is small and can fit just about anywhere you want it. Dead on reliable. Good for a nano
