I will be using a 38" tall water storage container located approximately 5' away from the sump.
Is the Tunze Osmolator 3 the best alternative?

In this case 3155 or 3154 will work, just be careful that in either case the hose ends 38" above the ground or water will siphon after the pump turns off.

Thanks, excellent point. I asked that question in the past. I will definitely comply with this advice. Sump is in the basement, so I have plenty of room. Was thinking about ending the ATO discharge 4' above the sump which dumps into a pvc pipe of a larger diameter to the sump.

Either way it’s easy enough to create a siphon break! Just put a tee on your line some where in the ato resi to stop it.. it will pump water back into your resi every time the ato kicks in but it doesn’t clog like the little ones that come with most ato’s and works perfect!

The pipe gutter works well, what I would do is put a cap on the top and drill 2 1/4 holes, one for the hose, one to let in air. The T will also work but the T needs to be over the tank or sump or reservoirand possibly have a hose added as water will exit when the pump is on, this also lowers the pumping pressure. If you need more head pressure, the Osmolator 3 will be the better choice, it can handle 20ft, the standard Osmolator pump with the 3155 can only handle 8ft.

I would go with the Tunze 3155 (not the 3). Its a proven model and mine worked for 15 years until I replaced it just to be safe. I dont think you can go wrong.
Agreed. I don't trust that new one yet. Stick with the OG 3155, BUT... you CAN supe it up with the new turbelle high jet pump.
