Hey everyone,

Been dosing the neo nitro for the last few weeks at about 40ml per day in a 135 and my nitrates are holding at only 1ppm. This is going to get expensive so beyond adding more fish I was thinking of going ammonium bicarbonate or potassium nitrate for my tank. Reason being the cost at 12 bucks for 250ml that doesn’t go very far. Has anyone used Aurora brand Ammonium bicarbonate? Being in Canada most of the stuff being referred on the forums just isn’t available for us up here. It is food grade but no certification, really what’s the worst that could happen?

Do you have a link to it? Is it food grade?

Baking ammonia is likely available almost anywhere.
This is what I found. It's from Aurora Industry Co., Ltd., so it should be the referenced ammonium bicarbonate.
