Because I’ve had a few and they all melted. Asked my good friend that owns a fish store. And he said they all melted. The guys that have had them for a while are lucky.

This is the only pic I have handy. As for them “melting”, so long as you keep your tank stable and do not have any sort of swings especially in phosphate then you SHOULD be fine. Nothing in the hobby really is guaranteed so I can’t say it. The people I hear who had them melt almost always had some sort of nutrient issue.
