So the tank is on the way, and I was planning to pick up an AutoAqua Smart AWC system. I have used one on my main reef, and I love it. Only problem is they're out of stock at BRS. So that's got me thinking of other possible solutions. I want something pretty low profile since this will be for a nano tank in my office.

My first idea is to run a 2nd ATO that would fill from a water change reservoir.

Essentially, (using a power strip with individually operable outlets) turn off ATO, turn on pump to pump out water, then turn on 2nd ATO to refill with fresh saltwater. Not as simple as the AWC system, but it could work I think.

What other AWC ideas could work for a nano AIO tank?

(Btw, I know some people use the Apex DOS for this, but I'm not currently planning to run a controller on the office tank.)

Why not just get the Hydros? Uses the same sensors as the Smart ATO. You can get a basic Hydros with the wifi strip and sensors along with some micro pumps for probably even cheaper than the Smart ATO. The only size difference would be the need for the power strip. But the controller is a fair bit smaller

I used my GHL 2.1 Doser for AWC's on my Nuvo 10, super quiet and it worked like a charm, however it's not exactly small...

I use two kamoer dosing pumps on my 30 gallon office tank.
