What are good automatic feeder and food combos for 7 day vacation. I have tried a variety of feeders and foods. Regardless of food and feeder combo, the foods all either float on the surface all day or fall so fast that the fish don't eat them. I have tried a large variety of foods from those described as rapidly sinking, slow sinking and for middle feeders.

I use eheim auto feeders, I mix pellet and flake food, and I position the feeder directly over the gyres so when food is dispersed, the gyre immediately pushes the food. I've had the same one's for 3 years now, never had an issue

The automatic feeder I use is Eheim and have been using it since 2014. I can adjust the quantity of pellets it drops. To make food don’t spread all around the surface of the tank easily and got sucked by the overflow, I use a feeder ring (to at least hold the floating ones longer).

Food combo I have been using are Hikari/Saki-Hikari, TDO chroma boost, PE mysis pellets and NLS probiotics.

Thank you for your post. Would you be so kind as to state which of your foods float forever, sink at a slow rate, sink at a moderate rate, or fall to the substrate at the speed of light? I have tried a wide variety of foods and they all fall into the first or last category. I also use a floating ring to positioned just below the dispenser to hold the food in place until it begins to sink.

I have this feeder and like it.
This is the Amazon name of the link gets blocked:

Automatic Fish Feeder, Weytoll WiFi Intelligent Timing Automatic Feeder Aquarium Goldfish Feeder 100ML Large Capacity Fish Feeder Mobilephone APP Control

You do need an app, but can be feed whenever through the app but also can be programmed. Also I like the nyos wild goji they do sink quickly (good or bad not sure) https://amzn.to/3PcsaqG

Thanks. This looks like a very nice and affordable feeder. My tank is 70 gallons and long with only a few fish, most middle feeders. They will not eat from the surface or the sandbed. I need to identify food that falls slowly enough so that they will be able to reach it before it hits the sand bed.

I think Hikari floats for a while, most of the pellets I feed says they will sink slowly but since my fish are pigs, they will attack the feeding ring like it is a black Friday morning so pellets will scattered and sink fast.
