Baby Bicinctus?

Do baby bictinctus look different from adults significantly in terms of color? My LFS brought some in from proaquatix at my request but… they appear to have white bands at the base of their tails like a Clarkii. Not very yellow tails either. I feel bad since the owner brought them in for me… but I’m not sure they are what proaquatix sold them as.

Looking at pictures online and from what I have read I don't think those are bicinctus:
