BROWNS: Don't forget - your child has that name for life. Be certian that if it were you, would you want to be Maddox or Jaden when you're 50? Maybe... then that's cool.

I chose Maddox. Sounds a bit better, especially in a job interview or on an application for the first big job.

Remember... trendy names are just that. Just ask Moon-Unit & Dwezel Zappa. Well maybe that wasn't a trend so much as the drugs. LOL

Nothing personal though - especially to those with different names. This is a poll so I am just giving food for thought and my 2 cents.

and whatever happened to names like Matthew or William or Robert... my girlfriend and I fight all the time about what to name our son. In her family, there are boys named Ashton, Jaden, Caden, Brayden, and Tristan.

No offense of course to your choices, I think Maddox is unique

WOW, I must have missed this one.

I would say Maddox is best.

I find it important to think of what the kids will call the child in school.
You don’t want to choose a name that is easy to make fun of or may cause him to be cast in a unwanted role. Kids in school can be VERY mean so no point in making it easy for them. Any name that could be for a girl OR a boy is risky IMO

With Jaden people will most likely end up saying Jade for short which is kind of cool but also kind of girly depending on how you look at it.

Maddox is cool to and although they may call him Maddy (which is also kind of girly) it is a lot less likely IMO.

with a girl this is not as important but with a boy the name is a much bigger deal. with our son we went more main stream to avoid any problems and went with Brian. traditional, simple, and nice.

it is very sad that somethign as simple as a name can make a difference in a kids childhood but trust me IT DOES. just think of all the kids running around named Star, or paradise, that REALLY wish there parents were not Hippies lol

Yes, the way I am thinking is would I like that name, I say yes to Maddox and No to Jaden. I would not want a unisex name. Also, once the kid turns 18, he can change his name if it's not liked ;) Another name we just starting throwing around is "Jax"
