Lol. I am not sure what to think they have been like that for 24 hours now and have not moved. The one who looks like they are trying to take the shell has the bigger shell so I am confused

I think they may be mating. He is not moving her around though. The smaller one is much more inside the shell (female?) and the larger one (male?) is holding on to the shell with its claws. Occasionally they touch claws (fertilization?). Both crabs are the same species

Not sure those are baby snails.

They look like pyramid snails....some see them as pests as they will eat clams and star fish but if they are on your larger snails I wouldn't put it past them to take a bite hahah

Did not think about that but could be a possibility. I did have a small clam maybe an inch and a half but one day the mantle ripped don’t know what happen but pulled it out of the tank before it could die in the tank. Never noticed any snails on the clam but who knows. I was hoping it was some of these snails but will keep my eyes open. If they are pyramid snails will they not have a food source without a clam?

I believe they can survive on other snails in the absence of a clam unfortunately.

They will unfortunately find other food if there is a source.

It seems they are trying your snails out.
