Long story short, I reefed for a few years back around 2012 before a bad crash and then left the hobby.

I had a few small tanks, 10-30 gallons at different times and they were never big enough to hold my interest.

Fast forward to July of last year I setup my current 150 gallon Planet Aquarium 150 gallon. I have since learned to QT my own fish, and have really enjoyed being back in the hobby.

I am already planning my next upgrade to allow more room for fish and coral, and a few more tangs.

Here is a picture of my current tank.

And here is an ai picture of my basement tank upgrade I’m considering. 8’x30”x24” display with a fish room behind the tank. My 150 upstairs would be plumbed to connect to the larger tank as it’s on the floor above, and figured sharing equipment and a sump would help with stability.

Decided to upgrade from my 150 once I got the tang disease! So 300 it was! This past Oct/Nov, I ordered a GC 96x30x25. Today I got all the rocks pretty much in. It’s been an adventure for 1 1/2 with my 150 build. But that quickly turned into a 300 ideas. Tomorrow washing sand, and getting it loaded into the tank. Next is water.

Welcome aboard! Can’t wait to see what you end up doing for a build! 🤙🏽
