Hello fellow reefers, getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus. So happy to see this site still going strong. So much to catch up on. Current backstory: Wanted just a small aio tank in my office. Just needed something calming in the room, but the wife knew I would want bigger. So I gave in. Was planning on a 120 and all the new goodies, even bought most of it. Built 90% of a stand for it. As is normal something came up, The Dream home, (least it will be once renovated). So rather then setup a new tank to move it, and the time / stocking expense that would take from the house, we got a bio cube 16 to get something going and start the learning process. Of course it ended up in the living room not my office. It’s been up now for a couple months. Of course She is always right. We found a bio cube 32 for my office and it’s been up for a month or so now and currently trying to get over the ugly stage. So off we go again down the rabbit hole. It’s gonna be a blast!

Welcome and welcome back to the hobby! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). You might do thread for each tank, but you'll only get one badge

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
