Hey guys,
I’m about to set a six feet long reef tank and I wanna ask about tank background color, which color do you prefer? Black or white and why ? Pros and Cons, cuz I’ve saw some really cool tanks with white background.

I had white and i cant say i cleaned it a lot, maybe should have more. But I liked the brightness it offered compared to the usual black. I wish I had a better picture under less blues but this seems to be the only one I really have of this tank.

I have black and it is a chore to keep coralline at bay. My arms are spent after scraping weekly. It would not be as bad if the back "glass" wasn't acrylic. I use credit cards, not metal blades to keep it clean.

Black gets my vote! It looks clean and will always look black regardless of what light spectrum you run. It also helps to prevent the lights from bouncing out into your living area. Your room will still be blue, but it will be less blue.
