Hi i have just been fallow for 7 weeks following a brookylnella outbreak that killed all my fish, i put a pinch of fish flake in every four days as there were still crabs and snails present, i have just added 2 clownfish which have been eating and swimming okay the past week , but now i have what seems to be a bacterial bloom where the tank is milky cloudy, i have added a UV in the return section, and a bit of seachem clarity, i have also pointed the wave makers at the surface for more oxygen, the bloom is still there after a week, any ideas what i could do as I don’t want to lose another clownfish pair, the tank has been running for 5 months but obviously 2 months fallow, there is currently no ammonia spike and parameters are all spot on

It's been my experience that UV is typically effective in treating bacterial blooms.
May we see an image please.
Have you tried a black out?
Have you tried charcoal?
I would test for nitrates and ammonia.
How big is the tank?

Not tried a blackout, as I have coral, and I have not tried carbon, tank is a 80 litre nano, nitrates are 20 ppm, there is no ammonia or nitrite detected

So next I would try charcoal and a brief lights out for a day to see if it makes any difference. It doesn't matter if you have corals, they will be fine.
Have done any water changes?

I was told not to do any water changes as it will not make a difference, just wanted to know why and how the hell is this happening, seems to be one problem after another in this hobby, the UV has been on a week and the water is still cloudy
