My LFS is recommending I add to the tank daily 20ml of Seachem's Stability for the first year. I have heard good things about Microbacter7. My tank is 4 months old and not low nutrient. It does not seem like I should need to keep adding bacteria. Does my LFS make this recommendation simply to ring the cash register or is everyone loading bacteria to the tank?

Some people add more bacteria when they do a water change. When we used live rock in our systems and not a man made rock you never heard of being told to and bacteria.

I started my tank with Seachem Stability and I did put in a bottle of Dr Tims about 18 months after I set it up just to give more variety (dont know if they contain different types of bacteria) as I don't think man made rock is anywhere near as good as live rock. I have also bought corals on live rock from LFS's to try and give more variety of bacteria.
