Hey y'all, didn't want to have to make this post but I would hate if anyone else had this experience without warning.
I ordered a 12G reef Casa aquarium. I was super exited. Did lots of research, planned it out etc. When it arrived I was stoked! Got it open, inspected everything seemed like it was shipped without any issues. As I started to set stuff I noticed a few quality issues, first off my net lid was extremely crooked. Netting was like 3 rows uneven top to bottom. Second I noticed the back filter cover was bowed really bad has no way of securing in place so it freely moved and came offset all the time. The last issue I noticed was the pump made a hanious grinding noise. I didn't notice this until the tank was wet. The noise was so bad I could hear it in other rooms of my home. Okay so now what? I reached out to Reef Casa. They only offer a form on their site. No number or email. I submitted the form and waited. 4 days passed and nothing. So I submitted another one. 4 days passed again and nothing. At this point I become very irritated. I scoured the Internet for contact info for them but nothing so I file a dispute with my CC company. A few days after this I recive a text message that says "Reef Casa here, what's with the dispute" I explained it to him and voiced all my concerns and frustrations. He said he could refund 50% and I can keep it. I explained I didn't like that solution because it didn't solve anything. I didn't want to have to put in the effort to fix things that shouldn't need to be fixed. Finally after some back and forth we agree to return the item and I would recive my refund when I canceled the dispute. I explain the Marc that I didn't have the big external 2nd box that it comes in and asked if I should find a new one and he said no it would be fine. I packaged everything up and dropped it at UPS. Fast forward a month and the item was delivered and was signed for by Marc but no refund in sight. I reach out 4 more times to him regarding it and am met with 2 emails. One saying I didn't cancel my dispute, which I did and sent him proof. Then I recive an email stating all these issues with the return(issues I disclosed and he agreed to) and how he wasn't able to return it and he told me "good luck with your credit card" I don't want to be the person to bash a small company. Or create negative views on them. But this was so far past unacceptable I was shocked. I hope that other people continue to have great experiences with them but man be careful. Because if you have issues you can be in for a ride.
