I have an RODI system with a 3 stage resin set up (Cation, Anion, and then Mixed Bed). I was mixing water this morning and noticed my TDS coming out of the last stage was 14. I was a little surprised because it was just reading 0 yesterday and the mixed resin looked fine. But I thought, well better safe than sorry and went ahead and changed out the mixed bed.

It’s still reading at 14 after running it for 30 minutes. What is also strange is that line 1 coming into the resin is at 3, line 2 is at 0, but then it jumps to 14.

Thought?

Ok so I think it is the meter. I just swapped the TDS meter lines to check and it is now coming out at 0.

A hand-held TDS meter is nice to have to double-check stuff like this.
I'd check the probe that's reading high to make sure it's oriented properly in the line -- posts oriented perpendicular to the water line, not parallel.

Beyond that, just doesn't seem likely.

EDIT -- never mind. Looks like you just figured it out.

I had a handheld one but can’t find it since I moved. Definitely ordering a new one.

Sigh, to bad wasting perfectly good resin!

I’m always badly hurt when I have to toss resin due to a system malfunction!
I feel your pain.
