During my upgrade, I'm turning a standard 55 into my sump. Making the mistake on my last sump and not using baffles (used 1/2 a 5 gallon bucket to keep constant water in the skimmer area), baffles will be installed. Now the question: What can I use as for baffles? I've seen acrylic and glass, but is there anything else that would function as well???? My local acrylic/glass shops have been inconsistant in helping me with the baffles and maybe it's me, but me and glass can't come to an agreement on a straight cut. Thanks

Glass is the best thing to silicone to glass. A local glass shop can help, if your measurements are sound.

You can use acrylic for baffles as well, just have to make a bead on the glass to form a stop and then insert the acrylic and again silicone that onto both sides, it'll work

Finally talked with someone that could cut custom ones out of glass. $9.00 each baffle plus tax.
