I have a pair of banggai in my tank. Had them for a little over 6 months and they have been doing great, until a few days ago the female started to lose it’s color, so basically the black stripes are fading and the white is now of a slight orange tone. It’s swimming fine, although appears a bit lethargic. It also didn’t eat today when I fed the tank, but it doesn’t seem to be losing weight.
The male looks perfectly fine.

My experience with these guys are the same. It’s like they go through a phase. Also I don’t ever see them eat but they are growing and are fat so I leave it at that!

So I shouldn’t worry? It’s looking healthy other for the coloration.

I wouldn’t worry to be honest. If not spots or flashing or super skinny I wouldn’t worry at all. Like I said my do this from time to time and are still fat and happy!
