So R2R people, finally happened. This is about the 12th batch and he finally didn't swallow them. I waited 28 days and seen some in his mouth swimming around. I caught him and got him to spit them. So this is day 1 for them. He spit about 15 of them, will be posting pictures as I go along.

Here is the end of the day, Day 3 they are all swimming, I had another 10 in another breeding net bit I think a crab climbed in there and finished them off.

How do you sex the adult pair? Or are they similar to other fish and one will change? I would love to put a pair in my tank.

When I went in to the store I looked for a longer flag fun and a shorter one, also the male has a slightly longated jaw line. Also remember this is my 10 or so batch, this being the first he did not eat. I actually stripped these ones from him on day 27.

So what are you feeding them?
Baby brine, in a couple days I am going to crush flake and put some Zoe, phyto and zoo plankton if they are big enough to eat. Once I can see them visually taking in that food I am going to separate the weak from the strong into another breeder box and feed separately

Very cool
Which do you like better, the breeder net or the box style?

Box for sure, I had a second batch in the net, they kept getting stuck in the corners and where the net is sewn together. Also I think a crab might have gotten in it and ended up eating everything, so I only have these guys left. So I say box.
