I recently made my tank bare bottom. The water is pristine... A little too clean to be honest. Should I never clean my sump to make the tank a little more dirty? Gonna mainly have lps/softy/shrooms with maybe one or two sps. I'm going to eventually have the entire tank jammed packed with coral (within reason).

My sump is fifty gallons and display is 240. Small amount of sand, a single live rock and some chaeto mostly for pods

I wouldnt do anything different unless you notice a problem. Personally i like my tanks crystal clear, detrtus free. I have a superstition or hypothesis that detrtus causes disease in fish.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
