Hey guys I just wanted to share my experience. I moved about a year ago and the place I’m temporarily staying at wasn’t adequate for my full tank setup. I’m pleasantly surprised on how well my reef is keeping it together with the bare minimum. I have a 6ft long 120 gallon tank (no sump second floor, weight discrepancies) hob skimmer, hob fluval Aquaclear 110 running biobeeds, activated carbon, and mech filter. And 2 eflux current power heads running at 100p freq surge. Lighting fluval aquasky led. This is as bare bones as it gets.
stock :
2 purple queen anthias
1 yellow tang
1 bristletooth tang
1 anchor tusk
2 clowns
1 Sargent major damsel
3 striped damsels
1 cherry grouper
coral limited to:
1 hammer
1 Hollywood stunner chalice
1 utter chaos zoa colony
1 dragon eye zoa colony
Cotten candy mushrooms
1 red cap montipora
1 Aussie cherry bomb (wwc)
1 gargonian branch
this is not how I’ll continue to run my system when I close on my house but I thought I’d post for those guys who are trying to get into the hobby and don’t have a lot of funds
