So bashsea has yet another set of sumps, If you want to use a Rollermat which I don t u can now buy one. BUT wait they look VERY similar to the biofuge sumps > just opened finally Return are and provided you with a diiferent sponge. These little changes are going to cost another 3 Hundred dollars for small gains. Thats what the 36 inch model costs over the biofuge sump at saltwater aquarium. com. I guess some people will be thrilled but I dont see why they cost 3 hundred more on SALE!!!. Enlightened me please? maybe I am Missing something, I would rather spend money on live animals than small gains. My biofuge works just fine. I guess Manufacturers NEED to keep Making new designs for More return money wise for them LOL

It has some niceties.
-As you kenyuoned, a much better layout for dual return setup.
-Adjustable baffles to better set water level for roller, fuge, skimmer.
-a few more built in dosing holes etc
-perimeter brace, increasing strength. I think there is a reason most acrylic sumps are not rimless.

It is wider than the Signature series. I'd consider the increased width a bonus from SS.

I do like the loom of the Synnergy Reef SK, but that's more expensive and only fits the more costly Clarisea roller.

I think Bashsea knows they have a uniquely positioned product and there may be a small premium for that, but it's not as egregious as first glance.

The biofuge 36 x 18 is the same width I believe, Not worth the increase in cost IMO, Sorry.

I am currently looking for a 60" range for capacity. In that length its Synnergy Reef or custom pretty much.

I'll admit I haven't paid much attention to the shorter lengths.
