Bashsea SS-60 Poor Quality Anyone Else???

UPDATE: Ended up somewhat stuck with this sump. Started out with premium aquatics csr telling me to get ahold of Bashsea. So i called and got no answer so left a message. Didnt hear anything for a day so i reached back out to Premium Aquatics telling the csr i just didnt feel good about the purchase and he tells me he'll reach out to Bashsea. After a while longer i heard from bashsea telling me it wasnt worth shipping back or sending out a different sump and he insisted it was an easy fix with e6000 glue and he'd send me a free 10g ato tank. So i was tired of the going back and forth and just accepted what it was. Ill be looking elsewhere on my next sump purchase.

Reached out yesterday waiting to hear more from them as yesterday we never reached to a conclusion. They said it would be an easy fix but I feel like this should have never left to get shipped out. One the runs of glue look horrible and two the voids along the seam. Feel like what you have to fork out for these things you shouldn’t have to fix anything.

I'm going to be purchasing a Pro 48 and will let you guys know how it goes.

Hopefully these are one-off issues.

I may try to customize to add another few inches in the return chamber because it's not suitable for multiple pumps at 7" long - my Trigger systems 36 for a smaller tank has 8" in the return chamber (which allows a varios6 / varios 8 to fit in pairs snugly with the intake cage installed)

How did you go about it?

I got a quote through an LFS, and the modification cost was around $250-300 - which was explained by needing extra material waste because of going over standard lengths, but the freight was also $275.

I'm looking at some other alternatives now.

Steve also mentioned they could shift the baffles to keep it at 48" and save some money there.

My sump is in the Basement if you check out my build thread i Just cut it out!! went to lowes and purchased a piece of plex and cut the same pattern back into it !

I went with the standard Bashsea 48" pro and am happy with it so far.

The build quality is great, and it has space for everything I need.

Would love for some visual ideas on how to use the probe holders and other accessories
