Where do the cords go? I see all these great, clean looking tanks and no cords from the powerheads hanging over the rims.

You first have to pass your OWLS at Hogwarts before you can be taught the disappearing cord spell... lol.

I think its Ecotech powerheads that actually have their cords on the outside of the tank. Otherwise, I've seen some use clips to secure them at the rim, etc...

The tanks you see are most probably using Ecotech Marine Vortechs. They're the only pumps I'm aware of that don't have cords in the tank. You can do some good cable management where you don't see as much of the cords. I use the self sticky anchors with Velcro loops. Works well, just make sure the surface is squeaky clean.

check out @Broadfield build. He runs his cords along the seams of the tank. Very clean looking. Do yourself a favor and read his whole build thread. Amazing craftsmanship.
