2 weeks ago I ordered a banded longfin basslet from divers den. I never saw him until 3 days ago when he came out after the lights were off. He didn't look good and was swimming strangely so I decided to move him to the quarantine tank. He had never come out to eat and I haven't seen him at all. I'm trying to get him to eat and I'm not having much luck. I've tried flakes, rods frozen food, frozen mysis soaked in garlic, and live baby brine shrimp. I'm not sure what else to try. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have never seen a banded longfin basslet eat, ever. They can go into a tank and completely disappear, even in a small tank. They can be in a tank for months and go unseen. I assume they eat microfauna and pods.

I called divers den today and they he was eating frozen spirulina brine and mysis shrimp and spectrum pellets. I think I'll try some spirulina and see if he goes for that.
