I have a DIY battery backup with relays that turn it on automatically when power dies. Lithium ion is cool but way more expensive then a sealed deep cyclebattery. If you want those amp hours and cheaper I'd say a deep cycle battery is the way to go. Not sure about the life expectancy of one vs the other though
