first snowstorm and small power outage this morning tank didn’t drop temp much but really got me worried bout future outages what do you use for battery backups ? How long do they really last? What do you run just powerhead and heater?

Whoever answers this, “please” keep the answer simple. I have the same question(s), and most of the information out there assumes one has a PhD in electrical engineering. I’m sure I speak for @VB313 as well as myself when I say that we just want to have basic flow, oxygenation, and possibly some heat for a reasonable amount of time after an outage. Something in the 1-5 day range (since beyond that, I assume a generator is needed.) “Thanks” in advance to all the great R2R members! :)
