If I were turn my white lights from 28% to around 10% will this help with dinoflagellate?

I’ve noticed cyano is taking over the walls, should this be left alone or scrubbed off?

Everyday I’m siphoning the top of the sand. My microscope comes in tomorrow to identify what strand this annoying issue is.

Siphon out the cyano...I swear when i had dinos, the two worked together in tandem!

You can attempt to filter your sand bed through a 1-10 micron sock to reduce their numbers while keeping the same water in the tank.

After you get your scope, it will be nice to identify them.

Reducing your light helps somewhat since dinos use light for nutrients, but reducing that small amount probably won't make a noticeable difference. Shoot, ambient room lighting supports them!
