Hey nano reefers! I always had this on my thought so here I go.
I own a bc 29 with (eBay) led lights which is around $100 and always considered if I am able to raise torch or hammer corals. I already bought two of them in the past but they never seemed to live in the tank.
I use rodi water with pro red salt, (don’t judge me) HOWEVER I never really check my water chemistry except the major ones like pH and salinity because I see my zoas and other corals growing very healthy. What am I doing wrong?

First I would suggest getting a good test kit and test for Alk, Ca, Mag. You want to make sure your numbers are within normal range for LPS corals to thrive. Softies like Zoas tend to be more forgiving on parameters and don't take up Alk, Ca, Mag like stoney corals do.
Test and then adjust accordingly, once you get them where you want you will have to dose manually to maintain stable parameters.

Here is a article about parameters and what to shoot for: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/o...-reef-aquarium-by-randy-holmes-farley.173563/

Hope this helps ;)
