I've had my ups and downs with this piece. It's been a slow grower for me.

I actually have a frag that was purchased from Adam more than 2 years ago when I was at his place. I never knew the name of this frag since Adam did not have a name for it at the time. I only knew that the colors were very unique and I wanted a piece. Fast forward, about three months ago, melendezreef came over and obtained a piece from me. He tracked the name down for me and found out that Adam named it the Joker. I must say it is a slow grower, only maybe two inches or so now. The colors are just like Adam posted.

Sonny,

PS, Adam let me know if you want a piece of this frag back.

Wow beautiful @Big E !

Growing out a difficult slow grower into a nice colony is something to be proud of, very nicely done.:)

I've got something very similar but the yellow doesn't stretch that far down each branch.

Tim, it's a slow grower for me. Hopefully with your skills you can accelerate the growth of this unique piece. I have no doubt that you will do just that.

Thanks for the optimism, but I have my nemesis corals just like everyone! I have completely given up on growing Purple Monster after losing about 8 frags of it. Twice I've had it doing well but lost due to one preventable reason or another. The rest of the time it just does not acclimate to my system and withers. Same goes with almost all granulosa (which sucks, because they are one of my favorite corals).

That being said, I have a few that I'm lucky that thrive in my system which don't seem to do well for others. I take what I can get :)

I'm just very glad the Joker made the switch to my LEDs and seems to be happy. Another friend has a frag of it for me, or something very similar coming from a T5 tank, so it will be interesting to compare the two.
