I have several years experience with reef tanks, but have mostly kept LPS and soft corals. I've had two frags of Pocillopora damicornis and Montipora digitata doing well for a few weeks now and I'm looking for suggestions on which SPS to try next. I'm not really a fan of birds nest or monti caps. I've read Bali green slimer acros can have rapid growth and am considering tracking down a frag of that.

Most of the stags are good choices. Also, most of the ORA corals were chosen to be fairly hardy and easy to keep - not all of them, but most. Red Planet, Chips, etc. are good. Tricolor Valida mentioned above is a good choice.

I would avoid most of the deepwater varieties (smooth skin) and millepora for a while.

Green slimer or variant is a solid starter acro. Also reach out to @BoomCorals he not only grows the corals but will also help you with advise. He has I think cliffs acro which is a color variant green and purple I hear is hardy and grows fast.
Thanks for the mention! Yes the cliffs acro is one of the prettiest hardy corals you’ll find. @jefra if you’re interested in a beginner frag pack that won’t break the bank let me know. And I’m always available for questions.
