My blue lightning maroon clown is starting to form that loveable relationship we all want in our tanks.

How long does it take a clownfish to build up the immunity to the stings? Seems like this has been going on several hours now.

This is also the same anemone it was hosting with at the LFS.

Also here is a pic of my other clownfish so he does not get jealous.

It’s hard to say how long it takes. Maroons are the easiest to get them hosted. Anything will host them

Thanks.
So far it seems like it might be a couple day process. She gets about half way in and then gets distracted by the male getting too close and chases him off..
Only reason I call her she is because it is bigger and the bully..lol
Sooner or later the transformation will occure.

Beautiful fish! Please keep us updated on the process!

Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing - I agree, it is truly mesmerizing! I truly enjoyed those videos!

A quick video of our newly hosting clown. So basically the answer to my question of how long it takes from noticing to actually hosting is roughly 24 hours. I noticed she did not keep trying to host after the tank lights were out. But she did start up as soon as the blues came on this morning.
