I was considering adding a small amount of macroalgae in one corner of my tank since that area is difficult to clean when algae grows on the glass and I've heard that there are benefits to having macroaglae in your aquarium system. What exactly are these benefits and are the noticeable?
I have corals, inverts, and 2 fish currently.

In theory they will absorb nutrients and phosphate (I think) as they grow, sort of “cleaning” the water. That said it depends on the specific needs of your tank whether or not it will be beneficial.

Oh, I see... I'm not in need of any further nutrient export since I already carbon dose.

Every time I tried to do that with my nano everything just ate it immediately. I’m theory it’s a great idea, sometimes the action doesn’t go so well.
It would probably deplete my nutrient levels a little too much as well

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
