Look at a standard 120 4x2x2.
I have a Tomini and Convict tang, plus a foxface.
The convict needs a 6+ foot tank.
Imo an 8' for the convict or bigger tangs would be better as that's what my upgrade im working on will be.
24 " tall is about perfect, imo.
Width is more important.
Upgrade will be 36" wide.
Tomini is much more docile than the constant moving convict, and the convict gets big fast!
My convict does keep my 6 blue green chromis inline though.

I prefer a wider tank for a few reasons. I also make sure my arm will reach the bottom. I cant go much more than 20 inches tall for that fact. But with wider and not as tall, there is more room for swimming fish, easier to let good light to the bottom corals. The only reason I could think for a taller, less wide tank would be for a more vertical swimmer like seahorses.
