Are there any to justify the increased cost or is it pure aesthetics?
Benefits to rimless tank

They're easier to work on too, IMO. However many people make the mistake of having the water line too high which will cause all kinds of sloshing issues when you're scrubbing algae. I keep my water line at least 3" below glass on rimless aquariums :) Overall it's aesthetics, and personal opinion. The higher cost comes from rimless tanks generally requiring thicker glass (more surface area for bonding) and/or beveled edges. I have a few rimless tanks with ground edges and while nice, they do not compare to beveled edges.

My last two tanks were rimless/starfire and the price didn't seem to bother me since I was staying under 100 gallons. I also didn't see much difference in low iron glass .I am sure it's only noticeable on larger set ups but don't take my word for it I wear corrective lenses.

DOH . I forgot that I looked around today with a buddy and we were pricing tanks . We saw two 150's 48w x 30d x 24h and the price difference between regular framed and rimless was about 50.00 . Both of these were not low iron/starfire glass which a another cost factor to consider as mentioned a few times. YMMV between tank builders .
All in all rimless imho is a nice look but you also have to make a screen cover to keep the live stock from carpet surfing . That is one negative of rimless I can say is a con .

I'm just debating on the pros and cons. I have to have a huge justification in order to get it.

Haha I got my 20 gallon rimless because the tank and stand brand new was $40. Mine also came with a glass top and little plastic clips to rest it on the tank. Best of both worlds, except the algae scrubbing water sloshing...

I haven't seen rimless unless it's with low iron/starfire. So I guess that's part of the cost.

Obviously not. It just looks better and more modern. People pay for that. :)
It's not going to make your corals grow faster.
Now if you have a canopy then you obviously wouldn't go with a rimless tank.

I've seen really nice tanks with a floating canopy. I thought they were great ideas and implemented nicely.
