Best choice for glass thickness on 72"w x 30"d x 24"h tank?

I'm wondering what would be the best balance between cost and durability for a tank measuring 72"w x 30"d x 24"h for the glass thickness. My choices are 1/2" $1900, 5/8" $2200, 3/4" $2850.

I am going with starfire glass for the front only s this will be a through wall build and only the front will be visible. Will 1/2" be thick enough all the way around? Should I go with say 3/4" for just the front panel since that will be exposed?

1/2” all the way around will be fine on that sized tank. If you’re worried go the middle ground. 3/4” isn’t necessary, that’s what I have on my 8’ tank and I could have got away with thinner. Save the $ imo, spend it on equipment.

My old 180g which was 6’x2’x2’ was thinner than 1/2” glass. A lot of big tanks are using 1/2. It’s strong.

I just got a tank with 3/4 glass it perfect to set my beer on lol just kidding but on a serious note I sure do like the thicker glass

ALOT heavier too. I agree, I like the thicker glass, but on a 6’ tank that’s still thick.
