Best heaters-- ?

What is your opinion on heaters,--
IMO--- I buy the digital ones

I'm currently using two brands of heaters on different aquariums: The Hydor Fluval E-series (a digital heater), and the Eheim Jager TruTemp heaters. Both are accurate and have been fine for the 1-2 years that I've had them. I typically replace my heaters ever 2 years just to play it safe, however. I hope this helps.

I always use a temp controller with every heater. There are just too many occurrences of heaters failing to risk not using one.

I have had great luck with Hydor and Via Aqua heaters.

Eheim Jager with my apex. I have seen too many heaters stick on in my make up water to ever not run it in my tank without a controller.
