We'll need to know what you plan on keeping, as well as the tank dimensions. Also, do you have any ideas of what fixtures and what price range you have?

Really, when posting on a forum like this, the "best" lighting system is always the one that the poster has on their tank :)

Best to give specifics to get more useful answers.

What's the best lighting option on the market for a 30 gallon mixed reef?
We have a 36" x 12" x 13" 30 gallon. We went with a 16" SB reeflights led setup and it does fairly well. There are shaded spots at both ends, but we're considering a floating canopy to get it in the air more and give a larger footprint. If we had it to do over, we'd go for the 30" or 32" model to eliminate the shade at the ends.

Hey ChadC, oceanrevive T247-B will work great for your 30-gal tank. It is ideal for both fresh and marine aquatic applications, specialized for SPS/LPS/Soft corals and reef fish. The built-in controller controls TWO channels independently (blue and full spectrum channels) for both Time and Intensity. It also comes with both supporting brackets and hanging kits to fit any type of fish tank. Please check it out through OR website:http://www.oceanrevivellc.com/goods.php?id=21 Or you can check out the reviews from amazon https://www.amazon.com/OceanRevive®...e-Aquarium/dp/B00YOYD3K2/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_i. Best of luck!
