Hello, I was wondering what's the best lighting for the best price? With or without hood?

Unfortunately that's impossible to answer. It's like asking: what's the best car for the best price?

You need to first establish a budget... that will help us rule out a lot of options right away. If your budget is too low to get you into a respectable solution, then we'll let you know! We also need to know your tank dimensions and what types of coral you want to grow. Do you have a preference on the type of lighting source... T5, LED, MH, a mixture?

This is very subjective. You'll never get a consensus of that on here. As above figure out your budget then type (mh, t5, led, combo) and we can help once you know those things.

This light is going in my freshwater tank. I have LED on my saltwater tank

An I'm wanting to keep it anywhere from $50 to $85. It's a 29 gallon tank as well

T5 is probably your best bet in that price for a planted tank
