Best nano reef tank light!

I was wondering what the best nano reef tank light is. It will be going on a innovative marine Nuvo 10 and the tank will only have softies, lps, and maybe the easiest of easy sps.

The Prime would be a good light. Another option would be a kessil A80. I personally like kessil better, but you can’t go wrong with either (and Kessil would be cheaper).

What is your budget? There are many different lights and many different prices.

chances are you are going to upgrade from the 10 gal tank. maybe not thins moth or next but you are. that said i would just go with the AI prime.

and if and when you upgrade the light could go with you to the bigger system. ( would have to get another and some t5/LED strips ) depending on how big you go.

and if you never go bigger the prime would rock the 10 gal.
I like the BRS AB+ settings so many custom setting out there its crazy.

lots of nice used AI primes on the market place if you cant buy new.

I am using a Sunpolar light for my 20 gallon cube and I am really happy with it. It's got this weird thing called lightening mode that makes it flash like a strobe light.

I personally think it would be a good choice if you like simple and you like shimmer. You can do more with primes but they ar quite a bit more expensive. Like someone else said, if you plan on upgrading your tank, then the prime would be better (unless it’s a big upgrade then none of these nano lights would be good).

What are some good settings for an ai prime.

Crank up the blues and purples (mine are at 40/45). Very little white, just to taste (mine is at 3) reds and greens also very low, i keep mine at 3-5. UV is currently at 15, im slowly raising it. Whites/uv/red/green are only on for about 5 hours. I have a Waterbox 10g, been getting good results. Its kinda like ab+ but less white and uv. White and uv penatrate very easily so for small tanks dont need to be ran high.

Saxby and betram are both for huge tanks which have completely different lighting demands than a nano. Not a good idea to use those

You know different spectrums penatrate water differently right? Is there a nano thats 4 feet tall that i dont know about?

Something to keep in mind is that with Kessil A80 you will have to set up a timer or buy the controller. So the whole cheaper option really isn't all that much.

I do not plan on upgrading my tank but I want to grow corals as best as I can.
