Best Nori Feeder

I’ve tried the IM gourmet grazer and the magnet rusted.



I’ve tried this other one that I believe is 3d printed but the fish have figured out how to pop off the top part. I placed it on a TLF magnet instead of the suction cup it came with.

My best working one has been this algae scraper that I glued 2 veggie clips and use on the Euro bracing. This has stood the test of time but I’m looking for something that I can place in a different location to help spread the wealth at feeding time

I saw this one at RAP recently. I almost got it, but the price just wasn't quite there, so I passed. I was going to go back before leaving but got sidetracked. I did like the robust magnet that should work on my 3/4" glass.

The 1/4 inch nylon mesh like they use on acrilic lids.

All I've ever used was just the spring clamp on a magnet.
Never needed anything else for nori sheets.

I've done that with the magnetic one that I have, the problem is that some of my larger fish feel they deserve the entire piece and yank it off and run. My Golden Puffer even gets in there and pushes its way through to the front of the line.

Is that a mirror glued on there or a type of handle to make it easier to grab?

DIY is probably the best part of this hobby. I've created so much stuff with 1'4" tubing, eggcrate, epoxy and superglue. 3D printing has also opened up so many more possibilities

I have not liked any of the "cages" so far. I like the concept, but it just seems that a) it makes the algae really hard to get to. And b) it wastes a lot of it behind the grates.

Another thing I'm discovering with my eurobraced tank is that it's hard to clip those things on and then to get them off. I keep dropping them and gotta go fishing.

Just fold the nori into a small 1” x 1” or smaller packet and put it in the clip. They will graze on it without tearing large pieces off into the water column. You don't need a net or 3d printed holder. Simple is best.
