Interested in other's experience with Razor. I have a massive algae problem in one system. I have aggressive GHA and bubble algae. Any advice on dosing amounts and treatment protocols. Shoudl I just stick with the instructions on the label?

I typically take a small needle and have 3/8 tubing ready and attach to end of tubing with rubber band and pop each one and siphon at same time- You will have removed all spores and foreign material in area.
Had to do this in the past with birdsnest coral and was gone 100%.
Other option is to add pitho crabs or emerald crabs (which I do not trust) which will eat them

I just used a month ago and I treated tank for the initial 6 day treatment then every 2 day's dosed for a total of 2 weeks. Then after did first water change in 3 year's, replaced gfo/carbon media, cleaned skimmer and by 3rd week 99.8% gone. For over a year in a half was just controlling bubble alage with emeralds and manually removing although it got the better hand entirely covering my gyre pump and frag racks that crabs couldn't reach. It exploded in like 2 month's from always being able to count them to thousands. Nothing a negative all positive ✨️ % best additive I've ever seen or heard of. I always try natural processes first and usually skeptical of cure-alls, but dang I'm sold. Brightwell for the win... I just wish I had close ups of before and after wow.

I tried it, ended up pulling the plug after 5 days. Did a few large wc's and changed carbon. Razor definitely messed up a few SPS that were doing fine previously, however, most remained unaffected. It didn't kill all of the BA during the dose probably because I ended it early. I did end up working long term since all of the BA that I scraped off never came back. Overall, it works, but I wouldn't use it on an SPS tank.

I have used Razor before and it works well. Some on this forum are purists when it comes to these things in their tank, however I could care less so long as the fish aren't killed and corals are preserved where possible.

The trick to Brightwell Razor is to use it with MicrobacterClean or something similar to get the maximum effect in water changes. I think Emerald Crabs and the like are perfectly fine but if you have a few of the green single cell organisims and some available landscape, not addressing them is likely going to result in a serious breakout.
