This thread aside (which needs to be that way), chemistry is one of the more definitive aspects of reef keeping. I fight very hard in this forum against the idea that all opinions are equally valid with respect to chemistry since, often, some of the "opinions" are simply incorrect.

Very much Yes! Considering that our hobby is part biology and that in its self is not an exact science but the chemistry certainly is a different matter.
