guitar hero ! i was hooked for at least 4 months!! but then i saw this kids just killing it.and felt like i suck really bad! took me 4 months to do about 1/4 of what this 9 yr old is doing!!

God of war 1 and 2 i played those games forever. Buying a ps3 for x-mas so i can play the 3rd one. I work way to much to play games as much as i use too.

Most engrossing game EVER is hands down FFVII, I have witnessed multiple people break down and cry over this game, I have played and beaten it a few times and it will still make me forget to sleep. As for more recent games EQ (I played the original since Kunark until POP) and EVE... do NOT play EVE if you have even the slightest intolerance of greifing, scamming, or take anything personaly. From the very first second you undock you are not safe and if you are not smart you will get shredded, if you trust anybody you will get shredded, if you hold back from killing that 9 year old kid flying a carrier because he spent 1/3 of his life earning it...the kid will wipe you out.

I got into cod last year and mainly because of the large group of friends that I play with. I just picked up bf3 and mw3 and am enoying them both. Very different games and they will compete for my time. Still trying to find my way with bf3. I know a few of my cod buddies are converting to bf.

As far as the classics go, The Legend of Zelda and Zelda 2, The Adventure of Link have to be two of my all time favorites. I remember playing those games for hours as a kid, exploring the huge worlds. I still have both. When it comes to first person shooters, Far Cry was the game that got me hooked on online multiplayer FFA's. The visual appeal alone of that game kept me coming back over and over. My wife used to sit and watch me play just because the game looked so good. My recent favs have to be Black Ops and now MW3. After I get tired of MW3 I'll probably try BF3. I've never played any of the BF series so I'm not sure what to expect.
Oh yeah...how can I forget the original Quake!!! We used to play that game after hours on the network at work....hehehehe...whenever you would hear "Quad damage" everyone would run away screaming. HAHAHAHAHA

I'm old skool so I use to spend my days in the arcade playing the greatest game ever Donkey Kong (you young guys wouldn't understand) but this was 1982 btw :D
