Best Video Game Ever!?

I grew up with Atari then moved to nintendo and so on and so forth. I got big into computers, which is where a single game (counter strike) spawned one of the largest and best game series known to all of us gamers...Call of Duty. Even since the Modern Warfare games came out I've been addicted, there is so much to do and offers countless hours of game play.
Other than that and Elder Scrolls series has been impressing me for years, it may not have multiplayer but the maps and graphics are incredible! Every plants sways in the wind, you can interact with almost anything, it's just amazing. I had well over 100 hours logged into to Oblivion before my best friend accidentally deleted it haha

Ever.. well I donnu I'm sure i'll miss something..
But the games the come to mind are.
Street Fighter 2 (and Alpha ), Mortal Kombat 1/2), Soul Caliber, POW, Gauntlet, TMNT (4 player), Rampage, Ivan Iron Man Stewarts racing thingy, and this one ninja game I can't remeber the life of me for the arcade days.
Old PC RPGs Ultima7, 7.2, 8, 9, Baldurs Gate (1 & 2),
Old Online RPG Never Winter Nights (1player was meh)
Recent RPG, First DA:O, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallouts series (There was another one I played over the last couple years that was fun spacing on the name)
NES/Sega,Atari, etc - Console Games. Zelda, Metal Gear, Double Dragon, Super Contra, Rush'N'Attack, Super Mario, Mike Tysons Punch Out, Ninja Gaiden, Castelvania, Excitebike, Ghosts'n'goblins, B-52 Bomber (intelevision), atari pinball, and tanks, and of course the greatest sporting game ever NHL 95 on the Sega G.
FPS: (PC ONLY CONSOLE FPS SUCK) ;) - Counter Strike, Quake 3, Wolfenstien, TF2, Battle Field 1942, (haven't played BF3 yet) first ultima was fun though.
PS games: FF7, All the Metal Gears, GTA 3 (the rest were just more of the same), God of War 3, SF4, and the new Motal Kombat are fun. I'm sure there are some more but I don't recall.
and for the biggest time sucks for me after CS. (I don't play any MMORPG)- Warcraft 1,2,3 and Frozen Throne, as well as Star Craft 1 and 2. and the First Diablo, second one was tedious. However still the best RTS I ever played was Total Annihilation. Civ series is a good one to, as was Warlords 3, can't forget about Command and Conquer last one was fun.
I miss playing Quake3 the most though, used to admin on a huge server back in the days (croms) and was pretty darn good @ Q3CTF4

I saw someone else mention Contra...def one of the best. I also like California Games (a weird no name game) on the og Nintendo. Of course StreetFighter 2, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, Mike Tyson's Punch Out....and then there was Halo. When Halo came out on xBox it was by far one of the greatest games ever created...
