Starting my first full SPS tank and looking for the best wave maker with the most random flow. Leaning currently towards some Tunze’s and maybe throwing in a gyre but the not sure if gyre is the best for super random flow. Any recommendations it’s a 25g tank 24” long

I don't have any corals in the my tank yet. But the Nero 3 pump seems to move water well and is pretty reasonable. You could get two of them and setup anti-sync flow and probably get way more than you need in a 25.

I recommend the Hygger Mini, I use it on my twenty gallon long and I absolutely love it. Cheap, and effective.
Might not be powerful enough for my SPS but thank you for the suggestion I was previously considering that one definitely is an attractive pump if I wasn’t doing a full SPS tank.

Can I use the wav even without an apex?
I believe you can with a 1Link you can but dont quote me as you would need fusion to adjust pump modes and speeds.

I have a two gyre's facing each other on each side of the tank on anti-sync mode and think its pretty random. Can't get much more of a crazy random pattern with a stationary pump. May need to look into sea swirls or something
