Best way to clean a sock

What is the best way to clean a filter sock? I put mine in a bucket with hot water and a cap full of scent free bleach for 30 mins and then rinsed it well and it still looks gross.

I put mine in the washing machine and dont add anything, come out looking new. I just put them on a heavy spin.

i put mine in washing machine with bleach hot water and low water lvl, 14 min, they look brand new. then soak in ro water to rinse them a bit

bleach, hot water, and the washing machine (when the wife isn't home)... I let them air dry and the bleach is evaporated. A quick rinse before going into the tank and you are all set. These are my DIY socks that I made with cloth from wally world.

We rinse ours outside w/water hose and then soak for an hour in bleach water. We then run them thru a wash cycle and soak in RO/DI water w/declorinator tabs.

I turn them inside out, washing machine with bleach, then soak them in RO/DI with Prime. Come out pretty clean

Washing machine with hot water & bleech and then another complete cycle in washing machine with just hot water. Let air dry and done. Been doing for years with no issues and still have many of them for over 4 years now.
