I know there are tones of posts about this, but I wanted to gets some answers about my own situation.
I know i should store some RO water in a trash can or water storage tank, then add my salt and heat before adding to my tank. My tank is 50 gal with my sump so a 20% water change would be 10 gallons. I guess im trying to decide if i should find a 10 gallon tank, or go with something like 30 or 50 gal tank and just have water in there all the time.
If I go with the 10 gallon tank, should I try to bring that to the LFS to get my RO, or should I transport in 5gal buckets. (if i do that I know I cant fill them completely to the top because they will spill on the drive home.).
If i get a 30 or 50 gal tank, whats the best way to keep it heated and circulating. Should it be circulating and heated all the time, or just before I do a water change. And what pump should i get to pump it from my trash can into the tank, especially if it lives in my basement and im pumping it up a floor.
I am constantly thinking about the best way to do this so thanks for helping me out!
