So my skimmer motor is pretty noisy (Sicce Syncra "not" Silent 5.0). So, my plan is to run the skimmer during the day only and turn off at night. The skimmer takes in probably 1 gallon of water when active. What's the best way to set this up? Should I just turn the skimmer on during the day and turn the ATO off then swap at night? Or is there an easier way to set this up for a fluctuation in volume like that? Eventually I will get a new "quiet" pump but that will be a ways off still.

did you disassemble and clean the pump? Just curious....it shouldn't be noisy. Maybe needs a new impeller

just have it run either with or counter to the skimmer and you should be fine. You just want the ATO to have a static target, whether it's the high or lower water line.
