Better clean up crew

So i started my tank originally with some snails and hermits. Those were fine up until i decided to try and grow more coral. Now that ive started getting more frags (zoa's specifically) the hermits have been more of a burden than help with knocking a bunch of them over and picking at them. Any recommendations on better replacements? Will most likely be taking these guys to the LPS.

Can you be more specific? What are the exact species of your cuc? What is your tank size?

Crabs are not really reef-safe they have a possibility of eating corals especially when they're not fed properly

when i buy cleanup crew i buy several different species of snails. pithos crab, emerald, and especially pods. variation of amphipods and copepods and a serpent star

If you want safe and self sustaining you choices are limited to trochus snails for algae. For algae on sand cleaning get cerith snails and/or conch (maybe just one depends on tank maturity and size). If you want to clean up left over food and have some fun get nassarius snails they will get under sand and pickup extra food during feed time, but they will not eat algae. Everything else will have its risks of eating snails or picking corals.
